Photo album from the Scorpion HomecomingCrosby, Minnesota - February 3, 2007On a clear and bitterly cold February 3, 2007 the Harrison family and the Crosby Chamber of Commerce held the third annual exhibition of Scorpion Snowmobiles on Serpent Lake in Crosby, Minnesota.I did not attempt a count of Scorpions on the display line, attendance was certainly down because of the cold. Still, I was surprised at the good turnout. A couple of quick jaunts out on the lake convinced me there would be no trail ride for this attendee. Instead I loaded up and drove over to the Harrison's collection after the awards ceremony. I want to thank Dick, Eileen, Randy and Deb for generously opening up their collection for all to see and for providing food and drink for everyone.Sadly, there were but three Bullwhips (featured sled this year) on site. There were several 71 Super Stingers and earlier race sleds on the grounds. A great piece of history to see at the Harrison's was one of the three original Crosby to Alaska endurance run sleds from 1967.Select the thumbnails to show the photo in a pop-up window. You may resize the window to enlarge the photo and show more detail.
